Jesus Can Lift You Up

Good morning my friends. I want to encourage you today by sharing with you something Jesus said. It's recorded for us in Matthew 11:28-30. The NIV puts it like this: "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light."

Are you feeling weary today? Is the load becoming hard to carry? Weariness is more than just being tired. When you are tired a vacation, a little time off, or maybe just a good night's rest may be enough to refresh you. But when you are weary in your soul you need more than that. You need to turn to the Lord and allow him to do for you what no one, and nothing else, can do. He will refresh you soul and not just your body or your mind.

Cast you cares upon Him today because he cares for you. Lay your burden down at his feet and let him carry you for a while. Jesus said that He would give you rest. He said that in Him we will find rest for our soul. Isn't that what all of us want? Isn't that what we all desperately need? Call on Him today and receive it. He will not disappoint you.
